KTM Australian Junior Motocross Championships - Day 1 to 3

Motorex KTM junior racers have been on track at the KTM Australian Junior Motocross Championship at Horsham VIC in recent days.

Practice / Qualifying sessions were run on 29 September, and we saw some strong performances from three of our junior chargers.

Wayde Carter scored top qualifying position in the 15 years 250F, while a mechanical failure set him back to 13th in the125cc class. Hunter Lawrence top scored in the 12-u14 years 85cc/150F class and picked up 4th fastest in the 125cc class. Callum Norton also qualified alongside Lawrence in the 125cc category in 6th and 14th in the 13-u15 years 250F. Unfortunately Mitch Evans sustained injury in the lead up to the event and will not be competing.

Heat racing commenced today, 30 September and we have seen Hunter Lawrence and Callum Norton out in Heat 1, Group B in the 13/u15 years 125cc taking 2nd and 3rd respectively. Lawrence then went on to claim his heat race win in the 12/u14 years 85cc-150F. Norton went on to race Heat 1, Group B in the 13/u15 years 250F class claiming 5th. Wayde Cater also took the win in the 15 years 250F Heat 1, Group A.

Heat racing will continue tomorrow and the commencement of finals for the 15 years 125cc will kick off for Carter.
