Hunter Lawrence continues domination of Mini-Lites at Sunshine State MX, Kilcoy QLD

Round six of the Sunshine State Motocross Series in Queensland was held at Kilcoy on 8 June 2013 and saw Motorex KTM Junior racer Hunter Lawrence claim top spot on the 12-15 years Mini-Lites class podium, yet again.

Lawrence scored a clean sweep to claim the Mini-Lites class and further cemented not only his devastating form, but also his series lead in the high-profile series. Lawrence also claimed his highest place finish onboard his KTM125SX with a 3rd, scoring 5th overall for the event.

On reflection, Lawrence said “I was fairly happy with today's results. I'm back to my old self with my starts and this is setting me up to ride a good pace and finish strong in the 7 lap motos. On the 125 I'm pumped now to be mixing with the older boys as I'm the youngest rider in the top five.”

Lawrence went on to add “The Kilcoy track is hard pack like Townsville where the state championship is going to be so I'm looking forward to that at the end of the month.”

Motorex KTM Junior Racing’s Team Manager Glenn Macdonald was again extremely pleased with the performance and believes the young charger is on track for some good results at the upcoming Queensland State Championships at the end of June.
