Egan Mastin claims second overall in muddy conditions at the Boolaroo Open, Moree

28-02-12

Egan Mastin contested the Boolaroo Open at Moree, New South Wales on 26 February 2012 in the Junior Lites to claimed second overall in muddy conditions.

The young gun from Vacy NSW had some issues to contend with, but held strong for a solid result in the 13-u16 years Lites.

“I had bike issues in race one and two today which was a pity but still picked up enough points to get second overall on the day” said Mastin “I rode the KTM250SXF in the first two then swapped over onto my KTM150SX for the final race. The bike ran awesome and it was a great way to finish off the day with a close race.”

Team Manager Glenn Macdonald said of the result “It is great to see that despite a mechanical issue, Egan remained focused and positive. He jumped on board his KTM150SX in the final race and by all reports gave the front runner, who was on board a 250F, a close race to the end. At such a young age, Egan is showing some really good speed and we are looking forward to another great season.”

Egan will next compete at the Sunshine State Motocross Series, Bundaberg QLD on 11 March.
