GMR Motorex KTM racers continue to put in solid performances in qualifying races at Murray Bridge in South Australia on day three at the 2011 Australian Junior Motocross Championships. Reece Rayner also competed in the first of five finals in the 11-u13 years 65cc class, scoring a hard earned third place.

Callum Norton drew heat three of the 9-u12 years 85cc class and was on pace early taking the race win. Reece Rayner lined up for heat four, claiming second position. Both riders have one more round of heats remaining.

In the 12-u14 years 85cc Andy Dinicol and Mitchell Evans drew heat three, with the teammates working their way through the field, racing in 4th and 5th position and charging toward third when Dinicol washed the bike out. Evans ultimately claimed 4th place, with Dinicol in 6th. Egan Mastin raced heat four of this class placing 3rd.

Scott Mann raced heat three of the 15 years 100-150cc, placing 2nd after making his way through the field. Mann is looking fast and comfortable on the KTM150SX, placing 1st and 2nd in his heats so far. One round of qualifying remains.

In the 9-u12 years 65cc class, Norton remained in form, taking the heat three win convincingly.

Mastin and Dinicol again drew alongside each other, this time in heat three of the 13-u15 years 100-150cc class. In a hotly contested heat, racing was close amongst the top ten. After an average start for both riders, Mastin ultimately claimed 9th position, with Dinciol in 15th.

Reece Rayner took to the track in the first final for the GMR Motorex KTM racers in the 11-u13 years 65cc class. After a poor start Rayner charged hard through the field and placing 3rd for the first of five finals.

Scott Mann was the final race of the day for the team, with the track conditions getting extremely rough and dusty. Mann drew heat four of the 15 years 250F class and was keen to make amends for his earlier heat result, needing to score maximum points. Mann, on board his new 2012 KTM250SXF chipped away through the field and moved into 2nd position where he settled for the finish.

“Day three at the Junior Nationals saw our riders continue to pick up solid results' said Team Manager Glenn Macdonald 'Callum has been impressive with two heat wins today, with the rest of the team also putting in determined efforts despite some minor crashes. The track is due to be dressed tonight, so with some predicted rainfall conditions will continue to change as we head towards the finals.”
