GMR Motorex KTM racer Andy Dinicol scores a podium at South Australian Motocross Championships, Murray Bridge

GMR Motorex KTM racer Andy Dinicol has scored a third place podium at round two of the South Australian Motocross Championships held at Murray Bridge on 11 & 12 June 2011 against stiff competition in the 12-u16 years 85cc-150F class.

Victorian based Andy Dinicol made the way to Murray Bridge SA to gain valuable track time in the lead up to the Australian Junior Motocross Championships, scheduled for September.

Dinicol claimed third overall for the round in the 12-u16 years 85cc-150F class and was his first State Championship podium since joining the GMR Motorex KTM Racing Team. Dinicol finished ninth in the 13-u16 years 125-150cc class.

“I am wrapped with the podium on the 85 at Murray Bridge’ said Dinicol “I would have liked to have finished a little better on the 150 but I know what I need to work on and I am looking forward to putting it into practice.’

“I have the third round of the Victorian Titles next weekend at Rosebud which I love racing at, so I am looking forward to next weekend and hopefully some more good results.

Team Manager Glenn Macdonald said “I am really stoked for Andy with his podium in the 85 class at the SA Championships at Murray Bridge. He struggled with his starts on day one, but he quickly turned that around for Sunday’s racing and collected a couple of third place finishes.’

“There is room to improve on the KTM150SX, however I am more than pleased with his progress given it is his first season on the bigger bike. Fifth to ninth in this class was within seven points for the round overall, so the racing was tight.”

Andy Dinicol and team mate Callum Norton will next compete at the third round of the Victorian Junior Motocross Championships at Rosebud 18 & 19 June.
