Andy Dinicol scores two class podiums in debut with GMR Motorex KTM Racing Team

GMR Motorex KTM racer Andy Dinicol has collected two class podiums in his season opener at the Maffra-Sale Open on 19 February.

Dinicol competed in the 12-u16 years 85cc – 150F and 13-u16 years 125-150cc A grade classes at the event, collecting 2nd and 3rd places respectively. The event also marked Dinciol's first competitive outing in the 13-u16 years 125-150cc class

“I am really pleased with my results on the weekend at Maffra' said Dinciol. "I am just so stoked to be on the podium in both classes too!”

“I have been working really hard in the off-season so to kick off my first ride with GMR Motorex KTM with two podiums is awesome.”

Team Manager Glenn Macdonald said “This was a great result for Andy. He has worked extremely hard in the pre-season and has been showing some good speed.”

“He crashed a number of times during the day, but he is finding new speed and this is to be expected. On each occasion, he got on with the task and reeled back his competitors to finish strong.”

“This was Andy’s first race with GMR Motorex KTM and this season will be a development year for him given he is still just 13 years old, racing 16 year olds with Victoria’s grading system. I do believe however, that we have the right combination of bikes, product and a support network that should help build even better results as the season progresses.”
