More solid results for GMR Motorex KTM racers in titles chase - Day 5

Ringmaster Images Daily Report

GMR Motorex KTM racers continued their finals assault at the Australian Junior Nationals on day five of the event.

Scott Mann took to the track in the 14-15 years 85cc class for the third of five finals, after scoring 3-3 results in the first two motos. Scott got a much better start and rode strong to place second behind the American import Dakota Alix. Scott is leading the title chase by six points.

Reece Rayner was next up in the 9-11 years 65cc class for his second of three finals. Reece jumped well from the gate but was not able to carry the run through the first turn. He made numerous passes throughout the race to make his way up to a solid third place and now sits in equal second position for the title.

Scott Mann was up again just a few races later in the 13-14 years 125-150cc class in the second of three finals. Scott had a great start and secured second place to draw points for the title chase with Hayden Melross.

Dylan Long was then on the gate for the third of five finals in the 15 years 125-150cc class. After scoring 1-3 in the first two motos Dylan collected another 3rd place after a challenging start to the race. The result still holds Dylan’s lead on the points tally by seven points.

Reece Rayner was back out on the track next in the 9-11 years 85cc class. Reece didn’t start as well as he hoped which made his run a challenge on the one lined circuit and placed 9th.

In the 15 years 250F category, Dylan Long had a better start which saw him closer to the pointy end of the pack. It was a tough race with American import Joey Savatgy out in front, with Jake Vella, Jackson Richardson, Jake Emmanuelli and Dylan checking out on the field. A few passes in the late stages saw Dylan across the line in 3rd place and is now within 7 points of the lead.

In summary, we still have Scott Mann leading his 14-15 years 85cc class and is equal for the lead in the 13-14 years 125-150cc class. Reece Rayner is in equal second with one race remaining for the 9-11 years 65cc and Dylan Long holds the lead in the 15 years 125-150cc class and is seven points shy of the lead int he 15 years 250F.

Tomorrow we have the deciding races in a number of classes and I look forward to reporting to you all again. Hopefully we can report some more podium results for GMR Motorex KTM in season 2010!
