Jay Wilson claims first round honours in two classes at NSW Motocross Championships

GMR Motorex KTM racer Jay Wilson kicked off his NSW Motocross Championship campaign in style at round one held at Mt Kembla on 3 & 4 April. The event was hampered by rain and a mud soaked circuit, which made for tough racing but it was Wilson who came out on top in both the two and four stroke classes.

“The venue was really wet, and I love racing mud so I was really enjoying it,” said Wilson.  “To lead the Championship in both classes is a good start, and I’m looking forward to the next two rounds of racing.”

“This season Jay Wilson chose to contest the NSW Motocross Championships, and he has kicked off his title campaign in style,” said Macdonald.   “Jay qualified well in both classes, and although he initially struggled to get off the concrete gate in his early races, he soon worked out his strategy and it paid off - winning races is much easier when you get off the gate and get up front early!

“The team congratulates Jay on a great start to his Championship chase.”
