Duncanson and GMR Motorex KTM take the win in the QLD Stadium MX Series

A larger than expected dirt track presented Motorex KTM Racing with just the challenge they needed for early season preparation at the annual Carrara Stadium Motocross on the Gold Coast.
GMR Motorex KTM junior team member Sam Duncanson blitzed the field in the Junior Lite 15 years class, with three wins from three starts. Meanwhile, dominating both the Pro Lites and Pro Open class was 16 year old Tye Simmonds, while new comer Kade Mosig finished second in the Pro Lites and Jason Reed took out the Expert Lites class.

Duncanson took the win in the first two races at Carrara Stadium on the Gold Coast on the technical track boasting big rhythm sections and doubles.

Reflecting on the final race of the night Duncanson said “I came into the corner side by side with Luke Reardon, he nearly went over the berm and I had to much speed too – so when he cut down on the corner I ran into his back wheel. We both got off balanced for a second and then there were about four of us coming up to the first jump next to each other - I seat bounced over it when no one else did and came out of the corner in front. I just went hard for a few laps and pulled a few seconds on Reardon who finished in second.”

After taking the series win for the Queensland Stadium Motocross Series, Duncanson now shifts to motocross preparation and looks forward to his next event at round one of the Sunshine State Series to be held at Coolum on 8 February.
