Championship haul continues as Reed and GMR Motorex KTM collect another title

Jason Reed has collected another NSW State Motocross Championship for his ever-growing collection taking out the series win in the 15 years 250F class at Cessnock on 24 August.

Reed faced a tough battle against the recent National Rookies Series Champion Dylan Peterson throughout the day of racing. Reed picked up 1-2-2 results placing second for the round and clenched the series in the premier junior class.

Sam Duncanson entered the final round of racing at Cessnock on equal points with hard charger Dylan Gosling in the 13-14 years 250F class but it was Gosling who clenched the early points lead by taking the moto one race win. Duncanson struggled in the opening stages of the first moto, but made an impressive hard charge through the field for a solid 5th place. Duncanson then led Gosling in race two until the final stages of the race where the two battled and diced with Gosling securing the race win. Duncanson finished in second place in race three of the day. The 5-2-2 results secured second overall for the round and second overall for the 13-14 years 125 NSW Championship.

Team Manager Glenn Macdonald reflected on the day and said “I am stoked with the results this weekend not only for each rider individually, but the team as a whole. It’s not often that a team can walk away at the end of the weekend with four State Championships and a runner-up so I couldn’t be any happier. Kristy Gillespie has  ented her position as the best Australian Women’s racer, Reedy has added another two Championships to the mantle piece and Duncanson has come back extremely strong from an injury plagued 12 months so for him to  come away with a Championship and a second place…we are all super-pumped!”
