Fifteen year old Mindaribba motocross rider, Jason Reed will debut his new factory ride with GMR Motorex KTM junior racing team this Saturday, November 10, at the final round of the NSW Stadium X State Titles in Maitland.

Riding the 2008 model KTM 250 SX-F, Jason will enter the Junior Lites class, against his new team mate Tye Simmonds, who has reached the podium in all races he has entered this season.

With the support of Glenn MacDonald as team manager, Reed is looking to follow in the footsteps of Simmonds, who will soon step up into the National Under 19’s class.

Commenting on his debut ride, Reed said, “I am really looking forward to racing the new 2008 model KTM 250 SXF with Motorex KTM. This is going to be awesome for my career in riding, especially with the experience Glenn MacDonald brings to the junior team.

“The track layout at Maitland is fairly technical with some really fast berms, so I have been training really hard leading up to the final round, and I am hoping for a top three result.

“It will be great to ride with my new team mate Tye Simmonds, who has a heap of experience in the Junior Lites. Besides Tye, I expect some tough competition from Keiron Hall, Luke Stykes and Dylan Gosling, but hopefully a home town advantage will work in my favour.”

Fuel is in the family for Reed, as he also strives to build a career similar to his famous older cousin Chad, who has won both the AMA and World Supercross Championship.
