Team Australia WJMXC 2014

The Motorex KTM junior team has supported the development of junior riders for many years, such as Tye Simmonds, Todd Waters and many more.

The senior Motorex KTM team also supported women’s senior racing in 2007 with female star Kristy Gillespie whose team mates included Jay and Ryan Marmont.

Glenn Macdonald Racing KTM was developed at the commencement of 2007 and was a KTM dealership based team in the southern states of Australia with rides from Victoria, Tasmania and New South Wales.

The team had incredible success in its 2007 debut season, including a National Championship in the premier 15 years 250F class.

In 2008, the Motorex KTM Junior and Senior Women’s Teams and GMR-KTM became one formidable force with the establishment of Glenn Macdonald Racing Motorex KTM Junior and Senior Women’s Factory Race Team.

In 2009, GMR Motorex KTM cemented its presence not only nationally, but also on a World stage.

KTM has always promoted a very professional and elite brand and it was the aim of Glenn Macdonald Racing to continue this focus and compliment it with a team that demonstrates these qualities as well as being accessible, approachable and fosters rider development.


The Glenn Macdonald Racing Motorex KTM Junior and Senior Women’s Race Team was owned and managed by Glenn Macdonald, Director of Glenn Macdonald Racing Pty Ltd and the Motocross Advanced Coaching Academy and had factory support and backing from KTM Australia.


2014 brings a new era for Glenn Macdonald Racing as KTM will now have an in-house focus and management group.


Glenn Macdonald Racing is evolving, which to date has included rider support and management, race day mentoring as well as appointment by Motorcycling Australia as Team Manager of the Australian World Junior Motocross Team.


In 2013, Glenn Macdonald helped plan and manage the squad who scored not only 2nd in the 85cc class in Czech Republic, but also 6th in the Team's Event.


In 2014 Belgium, Glenn Macdonald managed six riders who scored 1st FIM World 65cc Junior Motocross (Jett Lawrence) and 2nd FIM World Junior Motocross (Caleb Grothues) and placed 5th overall in the Team's Event.
