GMR Motorex KTM racers Norton & Carter victorious at season opener
The Warrnambool Open in south-west Victoria was the motocross season opener for Callum Norton and Wayde Carter on 28 & 29 January 2012. The event was also Wayde Carter’s first race event with GMR Motorex KTM Racing Team, scoring two impressive podium results.
In the 9-u12 years 85cc class, Norton took the win overall “It was great to pick up a win in the first event of the year!” said Callum.
Team Manager Glenn Macdonald added “Callum has picked up from where he left off in season 2011 in dominating form taking five straight wins at the event. The event was a great way to get some race starts under his belt and work on some technique that is going to make him an even stronger racer in 2012.”
